Robert W. Aspinall
Robert W. Aspinall is a Professor in the Center for Global Education at
Doshisha University, Kyoto. He was a secondary school teacher in England
before coming to Japan on the JET programme. After completing a D.Phil.
doctoral degree at St Antony’s College, Oxford he worked at Nagoya University
and then Shiga University. A specialist in the politics of education, his
most recent book is International Education Policy in Japan in an Age of
Globalisation and Risk (Global Oriental, 2013).
